WWW: I completed the task asked of me. That is it really.
EBI: I put effort into the project. I didn't really care, so my work ended up being, sloppy, uninteresting and I hate the outcome of this project. The lack of effort really shows in my work. I HATE the colours especially. They aren't co-ordinated and they just don't work together nicely. As well as the fact that I had to be in the pictures, I like being in pictures when I can look good in them, not when i look like a mess. Also this task was somewhat difficult because I didn't have control over lighting and being a POC you can't really see facial features very well without having light shining on your face. Which definitely contributed to my lack of interest, It was quite demotivating, but no ones fault than my own, I could have done something about it but I just didn't have the effort. As I say in almost all my evaluations I dislike working with restrictions, they are so off putting but a fundamental in creating good work. I also hate the fact i needed to work with others in order to do things, nothing personal to the person I worked with, I just like to work alone, in a space alone, where I can focus and think out loud. The lack of ideas definitely was the biggest factor, I am not the best at coming up with ideas unless i am left to my thoughts for a while, in a space where I am comfortable. Also carrying out said ideas aren't always possible so theres that as well. Maybe if I applied my self and tried the outcome may have been different, we will never know.

<-- I made a mask of GeorgeNotFound (George Davidson) because he is an incredible human being, and an incredible twitch streamer. To do this I used a brown paper bag, pencils, pens, scissors, pencils and oil pastels. First I cut of the handles, then i sketched out in pencil of how i wanted it to look, then coloured it with coloured pencils and pastels, and lastly I cut it to look more like a face shape rather than a rectangle.. I tried to recreate one of his signature facial expression, with his signature "gogy googles" |
WWW: I really enjoyed doing this task, it was very fun because I was able to incorporate one of my interests from outside of school. I also love how the pictures turned out. The masks made these images 100%, better without a shadow of a doubt. It was a great addition to the images. The images would have definitely not been as good, without the mask. The resemblance to the actual person is uncanny which makes it even better. I also like how well the black background works.. Overall I'm a little bit proud of this work, which is a lot more than I usually am,
EBI: I had more time to design the mask and if I was able to take the pictures my self. Also if I didn't use the green background, it doesn't work as well as the black one.If I did it again I also would have used props and accessories, to make it look even more like the character.

1. Who are you? I decided to take a picture of my favourite things (my laptop, tv, PS4 controller ect.) becuase they are a part of me and my life. They somewhat represent my interests and personality. 2. What did you look like as a child? I got a picture of me as a child at like 2 or 3 and used that, I had no idea how I would represent it without using an old photo. 3. What is your main character trait? I don't know if this counts as a trait but the most noticable thing about me that most people mention/point out is that my facial expression is almost constantly the same and that I always look either miserable or very serious, because I do not smile very often. So i tried to respresent that in this photo witout just using a pictuyre of my face. 4. What inspires you the most? For this one I just had to take a picture of all the Dream SMP members charcaters becuase they are all my inspirations. Theyre content and humour is just incredible and i'd be happy if i was even 1% as successful as all of them 5. What do you never take a picture of? I for some odd reason took a picture of the inside of a pen, simply because I had never taken a picture of one before. 6. What do you love about photography? What I love about photgrapgy is that you ncan be as creative as you want, so i decided to take a picture of my art which is a representation of me being creative. 7. If you could be anything what would you be? I would be a streamer so for this picture I decided to take a picture of myself at my stream setup, but I blurred everything except for the start stream button to make it extremely obvious what I meant. 8. What is the first thing you look at in the morning? The first thing I look at is my TV, and something is usually already playing, either anime or some cartoon., so took a picture of exactly that. 9. What is your favourite picture? I decided to use this picture of Nihachu/ Niki in a cat maid outfit becuase that was a great stream that I really enjoyed watching and she looked very pretty in it. She is also one of my inspirations. 10. What is the meaning of life? I took a picture of my plain white wall because i think there is no meaning of life. You live and then you die, then you get forgotten. Essentially nothing you do in life really matters because eventually you will not be remembered by anyone and everything you did is void of meaning. I think you just live to die, the experiences don't even matter because who knows what happens after death and if you remember the experiences you had. |
WWW: I did the task and some of the pictures look decent, not too bad but not great either. I also don't completely hate the turn out. I also think the colours somewhat work together.
EBI: I put effort in. This was another task that I just wasn't invested in. There were just no creative ideas coming to me and my camera kept dying. The lighting was awful, it would have been way better if it were sunny. Also the fact that the mirrors have marks all over them irks me. Although the colours work well together to some extent, but individually they are awful colours. I definitely think if we were to do this again when there is much better weather, I would produce much better work and not be so lazy with the task.

www:
I actually didn't hate this task surprisingly. I actually took my time, and put effort into the composition and how i could incorporate all my images without any being hidden. I definitely made the right decision when choosing which images to include they were the images that best represented me and looked good. EBI: There was one image that I wanted to use that i was not able to because the pictures we could use were limited, which I think would have made the collage 1000 times better. Also maybe if we used A2 instead of A3 because there was not that much space to work with and it was slightly difficult. Also not all the colours work together so maybe if i could have edited the images to fit a colour pattern, I would like it that much more. |
WWW:
Everything I said in my first WWW applies to this one as well. I also like the colours more than the original, because they work well together/ compliment each other. I also like the double affect it has created, it looks very interesting and somewhat abstract. EBI: I know I said I liked the colours, and I do however I don't like how dark it made the images look, some things are a little difficult to see. If i were to do it again I would have picked pink and cyan because then it would actually be visible to see, and they are colours that work well together. Also everything from my first EBI applies to this image as well. |
WWW: I completed the task given to me. I think the story works with the pictures and is somewhat detailed and developed. The story is well explained and makes sense. Also the layout works well, it makes it easy to follow along with the story. The overall project is okay i guess, so not that bad. I also really like the fact that I was able to create a whole new perspective/ story for images with no context, its given me another creative way that I can produce interesting and imaginative work. Also i did somewhat like this task, because I do enjoy writing, which shows in my work because it isn't that bad.
EBI: If I had used more pictures. There is so much empty space that just ruins the entire project for me. Also if I were to do it again, I would write a longer and more outrageous story. The story I wrote was honestly too believable for my liking. I prefer stories that have a lot of drama and unexpected turns of events and crazy endings, like a telenovela, you never know what to expect. This story didn't stray too far from the average persons life, most people have searched/ looked for someone they like the look of or adore, wether it be on social media or in real life, making the story incredibly boring and predictable. Also maybe i would use images that are vastly different, so that trying to connect them together to create a story would be more challenging and difficult, majority of these pictures had women in it so it was easy to find a story to go along with it. Also I would redo this project alone, rather than working with a partner because there were some images I wanted to use, and some images in the final product that i didn't want to use but obviously I had to compromise because i couldn’t make all the decisions alone.
WWW: I did take pictures of my shadow (wether they are interesting or not is subjective). I managed to capture actions within my shadow, which is somewhat creative. For example although me and my friend were not playing rock paper scissors in the first image, our shadows make it look as is we are. Or the images where I am holding onto a tree, when in fact in real life I wasn't even touching a tree, i was stood back just holding my arm out, but the picture makes it look as if I am holding onto it. Which i guess you could call interesting.
EBI: If the weather was better, because it was relatively cloudy we had to be quite quick when taking the images, which put a strain on my work I think because I didn't have time to formulate ideas on how to make the images look interesting, The entire time In my mind I was saying "quick, you don't have time, the sun is going to be gone soon" which makes my work not as high quality as it would have been if I had the sun the entire time that we were outside.

WWW: I did manage to creatE multiple pictures of myself in somewhat interesting ways, I also managed to keep hidden/masked in most of them, which i think is very efective when it comes to imaginative selfies, rather than having my full face in it. I also somewhat like my work aswell.
EBI: There is no colour scheme and they don't all fit the same aesthetic so it would be better if they did. Some have my full face, which isn't that effective I don't think when it comes to being imaginitive/creative. If I were to do it again I would defiently give myself a longer amount of time to formulate ideas and take the actual pictures, since I did this in 15 minutes.
WWW: I managed to take planned self portraits, without it actually looking like I planned them, it looks as if there is a hidden camera in my room and these are just random pictures it has taken of my day to day life. But that's exactly how i planned them to come out. I wanted to go for that exactfeel/ concept and it worked pretty well. I also love the fact that all the pictures follow the same colour scheme.
EBI: If i had spent more time, I quite literally did this whole thing in 45 minutues because I was rushing to get it done before I sleep. So if I had put more time into it, I would have had even better set ups and lighting and the quality would be 10 times better.
WWW: I managed to take candid self portraits, succesfully. All the images look like I picked up the camera at random normal moments of my day, they don't look as if I planned them out, which is esentially the whole point. Once again the fact that all the colours are the same throughout all the pictures makes me incredibly happy.
EBI: Once again if I had put more time and effort in, you can really tell that these are rushed,. Also the red lights overpower a few pictures, if i were to do it again I would have used lighting to highlight me in the images and leave the background red.

<------- These are some of the pictures from the prospectus. To create images similar to/ inspired by these, I am going to set people up in a way that looks natural, and then take the image, whilst focusing on the people, and blurring the background, as that is the style of all 3 of these images. The main thing I need to do is make sure people do not look at the camera and, make sure they act as they normally would if there wasn't a camera, because I think that, that is the main component that makes these images so successful. To someone who takes photography as a subject, it is obvious that these images are set up/ staged, however to the average non photography student, these look natural, and like the photographer has just taken images of people in the moment, which is what I want to achieve. |
WWW: I honestly don't think a single thing went well.
EBI: This task would have been so much better if I was actually allowed to do what I wanted. The only way I contributed in these pictures was the idea to ask year 7's to be in the photos, everything else was not me. The person I was working with decided of the bat that they were going to work the camera, so I didn't get to take a single photo. Which is the main reason I hate these photos, they aren't mine. I also did not achieve the one thing I wanted to achieve, the non set up, casual look (because I hardly got to contribute). These pictures look unbelievably set up, and the people in the pictures look unbelievably uncomfortable, as you can see by their body language, which makes it overall unsuccessful. To me they don't look anything like the prospectus pictures, other than the fact that they are both shot in the same school, with the same uniform. From this task I have definitely learnt that working with other people is really not for me. I find it extremely difficult to enjoy creating work and my work itself when other people hinder it. I much prefer working alone, where I can creative in my own way, so that I am actually satisfied with my work.
WWW: I really like how clear the image came out. I also love cyanotypes as a whole, because you don't usually see just blue images, usually images come in normal colour or black and white, so the fact that the image is just blue is very different, and interesting to do because I've never heard or seen cyanotypes before. I especially enjoyed the process, it was quite fun washing the paper off and going to find leaves and plants to makes images with.
EBI: If I were to do it again I would want to experiment more, maybe overlapping images to see what the outcome would look like or using a variety of objects to make images with. The only thing I dislike about this image is probably the fact that it is a picture of me, and I hate that picture of me, so I would 100% like it if I had used a different image to create the cyanotype.
